Datepace Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026

Datepace helps you read the momentum in a dating conversation from a screenshot. This page describes exactly what data that requires, and — just as importantly — what it doesn't.

What stays on your device

When you share a screenshot into Datepace, the image itself is read on-device using Apple's Vision framework. The raw image never leaves your phone. Only the text extracted from it is sent anywhere, and only after you've shared the screenshot into the app.

If you're a Datepace Pro subscriber and choose to add a profile photo to a saved match, that photo is analyzed entirely on your device — using Apple's on-device Vision and Apple Intelligence frameworks — to generate a short summary of apparent interests, for tailoring future suggested replies to that match. The photo itself is never transmitted anywhere or stored, on your device or ours — only the short text summary is saved, and you can review, edit, or delete it at any time.

We do not run facial recognition or any identity-matching on photos, ever.

What we never do

Your choices

Datepace requires no account for the free tier. Deleting the app removes your locally stored device ID; a fresh install starts fresh. If you're a Pro subscriber and want your match history or account data deleted, contact us using the address below and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in-app.
